Who We Are
Rev. Melody Bailey
Reverend Melody Bailey wears two hats. She is an Ordained Minister and the Spiritual Director of CSL Kenya and a Volunteer Staff Minister and Treasurer at the Center for Spiritual Living Kelowna, Canada.
Rev. Melody brings to her Ministry a deep passion for this teaching. She started studying the Science of Mind in 2003 in Kelowna and heard about CSL Kenya in 2018. She started an active relationship with CSL Kenya in 2020 at the conference put on by Rev Connie Phelps and then joined both the CSL Kenya Board (North American)and the Conscious Living Foundation Board (in Kenya) as the Liaison between the two. She has taught classes online and was a guest speaker at the 2020 conference as well as our twice monthly Froggy Fridays service.
She is committed to carrying on the Vision of Rev's Connie Phelps, Barb Samuel and Gwen Smith. Rev. Gwen stepped down in 2024 and Rev Barb Retired April of 2026.
Rev. Melody has the following vision for CSL Kenya: a thriving, self-sustaining spiritual community that is deeply rooted in Kenyan culture while embracing the universal principles of Science of Mind, a place where spiritual seekers, leaders, youth, and families come together to learn practical tools for transformation, healing, and empowerment.
Centre for Spiritual Living Kenya is a spiritual sanctuary for all people who are seeking to live a more prosperous, creative and meaningful life. And above all, like the great and gifted sages and mystics throughout history, we recognize that there is a single Infinite Creative Intelligence operating throughout the entire universe.
We are open to the infinite possibilities of this Creative Intelligence, and that every person on this planet can use It to produce health, abundance, and love, in mind, body, and total life experience.
We recognize God as the essence of spirituality - whatever your concept of God may be. We believe there are many spiritual paths, and we respect all paths.

What is spiritual mind treatment?
Spiritual Mind Treatment is the knowing and trusting in a Universe with Universal Consciousness, Universal Mind. In the infinite allness and power of our Oneness we consciously choose and then place, within mind, a specific thought expressing our wholeness, perfection and completeness. Treatment is also known as affirmative prayer.
Treatment opens the mind to infinite possibilities expands consciousness and lets our truth be freely expressed and lived!
What is a practitioner?
A practitioner is a person who has been trained through Centres for Spiritual Living in the art, science and skill of Spiritual Mind Treatments.
They are:

A practitioner looks beyond the problem to the Spiritual Truth of your wholeness and perfection. This reveals solutions, opportunities and possibilities.
If you are having concerns in the area of relationships, health or prosperity; or if you feel that you are too close to your problem to believe there is a solution, please “treat” yourself to the services of a licensed practitioner.
We know that with God all things are possible.
Therefore, whatever the problem, there is an answer.

Declaration of Principles
We believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute and self-existent Cause. This One manifests Itself in and through all creation but is not absorbed by Its creation. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God.
We believe in the incarnation of the Spirit in everyone, and that all people are incarnations of the One Spirit.
We believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual Soul, forever and ever expanding.
We believe that Heaven is within us and that we experience it to the degree that we become conscious of it.
We believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete emancipation from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all.
We believe in the unity of all life, and that the Highest God and the Innermost God is One God.
We believe that God is personal to all who feel this Indwelling Presence. We believe in the direct revelation of Truth through the intuitive and spiritual nature of the individual, and that any person may become a revealer of Truth who lives in close contact with the Indwelling God.
We believe that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that we are surrounded by this Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it.
We believe in the healing of the sick through the power of this Mind.

We believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving Kindness, and the eternal Givingness of Life to all.
